Level 1/ 81 Surf Parade Broadbeach Gold Coast QLD

Date: Wednesday 18 March 2020
Time: 9am -4.45pm (coffee and tea from 8.30am)

The program is structured to provide accredited pharmacists, those undergoing accreditation and other interested pharmacists with relevant high-quality education covering therapeutics, practice pointers and clinical controversies.

The program will, in addition, appeal to those pharmacists who are providing services to Aged Care Facilities.

Of particular interest to those working in the Aged Care sector will be an update from The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety following its interim report. During its hearings, and evidence provided by pharmacists, researchers, medical practitioners and families, the Commission has heard of the need to improve overall medicine use and to ensure that aged care residents receive the best outcomes from their medicines.

Associate Professor Ian Scott, a consultant general physician with clinical interests in non-invasive cardiology and older patient care will present on the management of hypertension in older persons and the need to individualise treatment.

Once again, the AACP is delighted to welcome experienced and popular speakers, Dr Paul Kubler and Debbie Rigby. They will be joined by 2019 PSA Queensland ‘Bowl of Hygeia’ award recipient Vivien Hsu and 2019 PSA Queensland Young Pharmacist of the Year Nicolette Ellis.

Join your colleagues for this day of informative and stimulating CPD relevant to your area of practice.
